Metal braces are the most common and are made of a high grade stainless steel. Today's braces, especially the ones we use, are much smaller than they used to be and lots of teenagers like to dress these up with different colored elastics that can be changed at each appointment. Ceramic braces are a translucent clear material and are the most popular with adults and teenage girls. You have to be very close to someone to tell that they are there. The only drawback is that they are more fragile so we don't put them on anyone who is involved in contact sports or who is accident prone! Introducing Invisalign®.
Invisalign® can give you the beautiful straight teeth you've always wanted. It works through a series of invisible, removable, and comfortable aligners that no one can tell you're wearing. So you can smile more during treatment as well as after. Invisalign is effective in correcting certain types of malocclusions, such as spacing and minimal crowding. Invisalign is not for everyone.
